چکیده
BackgroundAllergic disorders are the consequence of IgE sensitization to allergens. Population studies have shown that certain human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles associated with increased or decreased risk developing allergy.ObjectiveWe aimed characterize relationship between HLA class II allelic diversity and in an understudied Arab population.MethodsWe explored associations 7 allergen mixes mesquite (comprising 41 food aeroallergens) 45 common classical a well-defined cohort 797 individuals representing general adult population Qatari nationals long-term residents. To do so, we performed calling from whole genome sequencing data at 2-field resolution using 2 independent algorithms. We then applied 3 different regression models assess either each mix independently, context other allergens tested, polysensitization.ResultsMore than half (n = 447) study participants showed least 1 allergen, most them 400) aeroallergens (Phadiatop). identified statistically significant negative positive 24 alleles. These been reported confer protection variety diseases; however, only few previously allergy populations.ConclusionsOur reveals several new protective genetic markers for allergen-specific sensitization. This is first essential step toward better understanding origins allergic diseases this population. Allergic allergy. polysensitization. More populations. Our

Association between HLA-Class I and HLA-Class II Alleles and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Infection in Iraqi Patients from Baghdad City
Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PT) is one of the endemic diseases in Iraq, and among the suggested predisposing factors are alleles of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system. We sought to investigate the association between HLA-class I (A and B) and -class II (DR and DQ) alleles in a sample of PT Iraqi patients. Methods: lymphocytes of 105 PT patients and 40 controls were phenotyped for H...
متن کاملAssociations of Moyamoya patients with HLA class I and class II alleles in the Korean population.
Moyamoya disease is characterized by progressive cerebrovascular occlusion at the peripheral internal carotid artery and development of abnormal collateral circulation at the cerebral basal region. Although abnormal thrombogenesis, inflammation and autoimmune process might be involved in the etiology, the genetic pathogenesis of Moyamoya disease is still unknown. To evaluate the association of ...

Background: Pediatric bronchial asthma is associated with considerable morbidity. The study was carried out to examine the association of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA)- Class II with the disease as we found no similar study on Asian Indian population. Objective: To define the HLA-Class II antigens in Asian Indian pediatric patients with asthma. Methods: A total of 103 children with asthma and 1...

asthma is a complex and multifactorial disorder. several studies have reported association between different hla- dqb1 and hla- drb1 alleles and allergic asthma. the aim of the present study was to investigate the association of hla-class ii alleles and haplotypes, with total serum ige and the results of the skin prick test in iranian children with allergic asthma. a total of 112 patients with ...
